The Truth Abour Hair Loss

It is normal to shed hair every day and the truth is we loose between 100-125 hairs on any given day. Hair that is shed falls out at the end of growth cycle. At any given time 10% of our hair is in what is called a “resting phase” and after 2-3 months resting, hair falls out and new hair grows in its place. Some people, however, experience more hair loss than is normal.

As we get older, both men and women experience some hair loss. It’s a normal part of the aging process. Called Androgenetic Alopecia, it accounts for 95% of all hair loss. Androgentic Alopecia often runs in families and affects some people more than others. In men it is often referred to as Male Pattern Baldness.

It is characterized by a receding hair line and baldness on the top of head. Women, on the other hand, don’t go entirely bald even if their hair loss is severe. Instead, hair loss is spread out evenly over their entire scalp.

Hormones play the dominant role when talking about Androgenetic Alopecia. Simple put, both men and women produce testosterone. Testosterone can be converted to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) with the aid of the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase. DHT shrinks hair follicles causing the membranes in the scalp to thicken, become inelastic and restrict blood flow. This causes the hair follicles to atrophy. As a result, when a hair does fall out, it is not replaced.

Needless to say, men produce more testosterone than women and experience more hair loss.

While Androgenetic Alopecia is the number one reason why individuals experience hair loss, it is not the only one. Medical conditions such as hypothyroidism, ringworm and fungal infections can cause hair loss. Certain medications such as blood thinners, gout medication, birth control pills and too much vitamin A can cause sudden or abnormal hair loss as can following a crash diet, sudden hormonal changes, chemotherapy and radiation.

Emotional stress, pregnancy, or surgery can also cause our hair to fall out and is usually not noticed until 3-4 months after the stressful event has taken place. Stress can cause a slowing of new hair growth because a larger number of hair follicles enter into the resting phase and no new hair growth is experienced.

Another way in which individuals experience hair loss is due to mechanical stressors on the hair and scalp. Wearing pigtails, cornrows or tight rollers that end up pulling on the hair can scar the scalp and cause permanent hair loss. Hair products such as hot oil treatments and chemicals used for permanents can cause inflammation to the hair follicles which can also result in scarring and hair loss.

Stop Hair Loss

July 12th, 2007

If you’re concerned about hair loss, you’ll be glad to know that one of the most effective ingredients in Provillus is all-natural. Saw palmetto is a naturally occurring substance that has been used effectively in hair loss prevention and hair regrowth throughout the world. Studies have shown that saw palmetto lowers the levels of DHT (dihydrotestosterone) in your body by blocking receptors on the cell membranes. DHT is the major cause of typical male pattern baldness, and when it is reduced, new hair can grow unimpeded.

As the saw palmetto in Provillus blocks DHT, vitamin B6, biotin, zinc, and magnesium work to provide your scalp with the vital nutrients it needs to produce healthy hair. Gota Kola, Eleuthro, Uva-Ursi, pumpkin oil, and other extracts are also used to stimulate hair growth and assist with protein synthesis and energy metabolism. This effective combination has made Provillus extremely successful in stopping hair loss and kickstarting regrowth. In fact, this supplement is rated as the best hair loss treatment pill on the market!

Using our natural hair loss program does not require you to take several different steps on a daily basis. There are no creams that you have to rub on your head before you go to sleep, and there are no special hair care products that you have to use. You simply take the supplement orally and let its natural components run their course.

At this time, we are offering two free bottles of Provillus when you place an order. If you are not satisfied with the effect it is having on your hair and scalp, you have up to six months to return it for a full refund. We are able to give you this option, because we know you can find success with our product. So many others have used Provillus to restore their hair–isn’t it time you tried the most effective hair loss product on the market?

Can Provillus Stop Hair Loss And Re-grow Hair?

July 12th, 2007

Anyone worried about hair loss may be interested in Provillus, a hair loss treatment that is very different from most. Hair loss is more common in men than in women, but both genders can suffer. This is because loss of hair in 95% of individuals is caused by the interaction of a hormone and an enzyme that occur naturally in the body.

The hormone is testosterone, and both men and women produce testosterone, although because most men have much more testosterone than most women, baldness it more common in men than in women. The problem begins when testosterone gets together with the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase. This can result in the production of another hormone, dihydrotestosterone, known as DHT. It is the DHT that has been linked to 95 percent of all hair loss.

DHT causes hair loss by shrinking the hair follicles. It also causes the skin on the scalp to thicken and become less flexible. As a result, blood flow to the follicles is restricted. This makes the follicles shrivel up until the hair falls out and doesn’t re-grow.

If there were a way to get rid of DHT, then would hair loss be prevented and would healthy hair start to grow back? This has been shown to be true using the ingredients in Provillus.

One of the primary ingredients that make up Provillus is saw palmetto. Saw palmetto is a fan palm (Arecaceae tribe corypheae) widespread in the southeastern USA, most frequently along the Atlantic and Gulf coast, in addition to as far inland as southern Arkansas. What makes saw palmetto so interesting is that it is one of the few natural plant products approved by the US Food and Drug Administration to be used in a hair loss program. Saw palmetto reduces the level of DHT, and therefore helps prevent hair loss and assists in the re-growth of hair.

Besides saw palmetto, Provillus also contains vitamins such as B6 and accepted extracts that make vital nutrients available to the scalp and hair follicles. The process of keeping the hair one has and restoring the hair one has lost is said to be trouble-free and successful.

If a consumer is worried about whether or not Provillus will be effective for him or her in solving the hair loss problem, the manufacturers provide a money back guarantee, thus removing the risk of whether or not Provillus should be tested.

Provillus Review

July 12th, 2007

After having a chance to check out Provillus for both men and women, I thought it would be a good idea to write a Provillus review highlighting what you can realistically expect from this popular hair loss product. Hopefully, after reading this brief review, you’ll have a better understanding of whether or not Provillus can really prevent hair loss and regrow lost hair.

Let’s be honest, nobody wants to be bald. No guy wants to lose so much hair that he’s forced to shave his entire head to save himself the embarrassment of the dreaded “horseshoe”. At a certain point, Homer Simpson-esque combovers stop hiding the fact that you’re bald on top. Men’s Provillus can save guys the humiliation of getting to that point by preventing hair loss with a natural herbal dietary supplement. It blocks dihydrotestosterone (DHT), the hormone responsible for hair loss in men. The same pill even promotes the regrowth of hair, so it’s never too late to get started.
As for women, one in four is affected by Female Patter Baldness (FPB). Recent findings have suggested that it’s just as common for women to lose their hair as it is for men. So ladies, when are you going to start doing something about it? Teasing your hair to make it look fuller and thicker only fools people for a little while. Luckily, there’s a Provillus designed to prevent hair loss and regrow what has been lost.

Provillus supplements for both men and women are manufactured in 100 percent FDA standard conditions, are chemical and cream free. There are no side effects of using the system, including the sexual side effects found in some other hair treatment programs.

I highly recommend Provillus for both men and women who are concerned with their hairline. Since it works as a preventative measure as well as one for regrowth, it’s never too early to start on the program. Rated the #1 hair loss treatment on the market, Provillus offers a money-back guarantee. Since there’s no risk involved, it’s definitely worth trying out.

Hair Loss Remedies – Simple Ayurvedic Treatments

July 12th, 2007

Hair loss is one of the most embarrassing problem facing most men and women in the world today. It is a common notion that hair loss occurs normally with advancing age, and nothing can be done about that. But that is a wrong belief. There are several effective ways in which hair loss and other hair related problems can be nipped in the bud. The following are some of the most effective home remedies in which this can be achieved.

Treatment with Simple Home Remedies

Remedy # 1

This remedy works if your hair are continuously breaking off and falling. Extract the juice of a single lemon. Finely grind the powder of the root of a banyan tree and mix thoroughly in the lemon juice. Wash your hair with this solution. When done, dry your hair with a drier and then apply more than the normal amount of coconut oil on the scalp. Do this regularly. Within a few days you will find the quality of your hair improving.

Remedy # 2

Prepare the fine powder of the amalaki (Indian Gooseberry) and soak it in water. Keep this overnight. In the morning, squash the powder in the water and let it exude thoroughly into the water. You will get a mild pasty consistency. Then squeeze the juice of a lemon or two. Use this vitamin C rich solution to wash your hair. The solution will foam. Work your hands into the roots of the hair till the foam is profuse. After fifteen minutes of this treatment, you can wash it off. This kind of treatment will not only treat hair loss, but it will also make the hair blacker, denser, longer and softer. A month of this treatment on a daily basis will show you the positive results.

Remedy # 3

Boil some udad daal (lentils) in water. When boiled enough, let them cool. Then mash the daal and apply it vigorously on the hair, working at the roots. This treatment provides proteins to your hair, which is very necessary for their proper growth. Within a few days of this continuous treatment, your hair loss problems will begin to dwindle.

Remedy # 4

This treatment works for alopecia, i.e. baldness or thinness of hair. Take a dry ripe amalaki fruit and grind it to a powder. Put this powder in coconut oil or chameli (Jasminum grandiflorum, Spanish Jasmine) oil. Use this oil to massage the scalp. Then put this solution in water and wash the hair thoroughly. Continue this for a month to observe benefits. You must also chew on the dry amalaki fruit several times a day.

Remedy # 5

If your hair is thinning out, then the following remedy can help. Prepare a mixture of the powders of the seeds, leaves and peel of a pomegranate. Add this to mustard oil. Keep it on a flame. The powders will begin to get cooked. When the powders seem cooked enough, then strain the oil through a cloth and collect the filtrate in a bottle. Cork this bottle. Apply this oil twice or thrice on the scalp in a day. Within a few days, hair loss will stop and new hair will begin growing.

Remedy # 6

Grind some green coriander and extract the juices from it. Use these juices to massage onto the scalp. This will make your hair soft and black and stop hair loss. This remedy is simple but it is so effective that it can even make hair grow back on the scalp. Hence it is looked upon as a treatment for alopecia.

Remedy # 7

This is not a specific remedy, but it is a general method to care for your hair to stop hair loss in the future. Collect one tablespoon of powder of shikakai (Acacia concinna, acacia) and ritha (Sapindus mukorossi, soapnut). Add this powder to half pint of water and boil it. When the boiling has taken place properly, then cool it, strain it, and use the filtrate as you would use a regular shampoo. This is the best natural shampoo in the world, and perhaps the world’s oldest pH balanced shampoo. Daily using this shampoo will keep all hair loss problems at bay.

Treatment with Special Ayurvedic Methods

Bhringaraja is the drug of choice for hair problems. It is either taken orally or is used for massaging the scalp on a daily basis in the form of Maha Bhringaraja taila or Nilibhringadi taila. The general mode of using it is to massage on the scalp thoroughly and then to have a bath one hour later. But it must be remembered that Bhringaraja will first remove the weak hair from the scalp. Hence it may appear that the hair is thinning more in the beginning. This is temporary though; the new hair that will grow will be healthier and stronger.

Hair loss (and in fact, all problems relating to hair) are kapha problems. They happen when the kapha dosha is vitiated. Hence, kapha must not be allowed to accumulate in the body. This happens when there is a common cold. For this reason, common colds must be treated quickly. The same can be said about sinusitis.

Emu Oil As A Treatment For Hair Loss

July 12th, 2007

Emu oil promotes hair growth.

Countless thousands of people endure the embarrassment and aggravation caused by hair loss. One specific type of hair loss that affects people of all ages, both men and women alike is Alopecia Areata. This article aims to show how effective Emu oil can be as a treatment to help combat the results of this form of hair loss.
Alopecia Areata is a mottled baldness, normally affecting the scalp, brought about by an autoimmune reaction that effectively “switches off” the growth function of the hair follicles, making them stop growing hair. Bald spots or patches appear and they can quite often spread across the scalp. In severe cases, the whole scalp goes bald or the body may possibly stop the production of hair altogether. Luckily, Alopecia only holds back the growth in the hair follicles, it does not kill them. It is possible for the body to reverse the process and switch the hair follicles “back on” to grow hair effectively again, but this can take any amount of time from a few weeks to a number of years.

Alopecia is understood to be a genetic condition, which is hereditary. Nobody really knows precisely what causes the follicles to stop functioning, or if the trigger is set off from inside or outside the body. People with autoimmune diseases such as thyroid disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and lupus are more susceptible to getting Alopecia.

Emu oil hair loss treatment helps “awaken” the sleeping hair follicles to enable them to begin growing hair once more. Massage emu oil straight onto the affected region of the scalp. The natural nourishing, moisturising properties of emu oil, such as essential fatty acids, and absorption deep into the skin, encourages natural re-growth of hair. Other forms of natural hair loss can also be treated with emu oil. Because emu oil is so close in composition to human skin, Emu oil has a PH balance very close to human skin, which makes its composition very much like human skin. For this reason, emu oil has the ability to absorb swiftly and deeply into the scalp, permeating your scalp right to the roots. Emu oil hair loss treatment is a harmless, natural solution in the fight against hair loss.

There are several alternative medical treatments for Alopecia such as steroid creams, foams, and tonics, and even cortisone injections which are injected all over the scalp once a month. These treatments are unforgiving, painful, and have several harmful side effects.

Emu oil hair loss treatment is an entirely natural product, non-toxic and does not aggravate the skin in any way. Emu oil can be applied straight on to affected areas and emu oil capsules can be swallowed to help encourage hair growth from the inside out. Emu oil has helped countless numbers people with the problems of hair loss and is also used as an effective treatment for various muscle and joint problems, and a variety of skin conditions such as burns and eczema. Despite its ancient roots, emu oil’s natural nourishing, moisturising and anti-inflammatory properties make it more relevant to our health today than ever.
